Big Game, Big Venue: NCHA Hits St. Paul

The Xcel Energy Center, home to the NHL's Minnesota Wild, will play host to NCHA competition this afternoon as #8 St. Norbert takes on UW-Stout at 1:30 PM CT.  This will be the second game of the two-game series, with St. Norbert winning last night courtesy of four unanswered goals after being down 1-0 after the opening preiod.

Fox Sports North and the Minnesota Wild are holding their annual "Hockey Day Minnesota" celebration today.  The Green Knights / Blue Devils game will be taking place in the background of FSN's main set for the day, which includes nearly 15 hours of hockey coverage.

Elsewhere in the NCHA last night, UW-Eau Claire ran its undefeated streak to four games with a 3-1 win at UW-Superior.  The Blugolds sit in 5th place heading into tonight's game, just one point outside of 4th and a home playoff series.

St. Scholastica also moved its unbeaten streak to four games last night, beating #4 UW-River Falls 3-2 in Duluth.  The Saints sit in third place now, just two points behind league-leading St. Norbert.
