NCHA Dominates All-American Awards

Six NCHA student-athletes were named All-American tonight at the NCAA Championship banquet in Lake Placid, New York.  Presented by the American Hockey Coaches Association and sponsored by CCM Hockey, the NCHA claimed six of the possible twelve All-American awards for the West region.

St. Norbert forward and NCHA Player of the Year Johan Ryd was named first-team All-American.  This is the second time Ryd has earned college hockey's coveted honor.

The second team featured five NCHA student-athletes:
David Jacobson (Fr, G, St. Norbert)
Austin Brown (Sr, D, St. Scholastica)
Reid Campbell (So, D, St. Norbert)
Brett Corcoran (Jr, F, St. Scholastica)
Kyle Heck (So, F, UW-Stevens Point)

St. Norbert will play Norwich University tomorrow afternoon in the first of two national semifinal games.  The winner will play Saturday evening for the national championship.
