UW-River Falls stays unbeaten
Justin Brossman scored shorthanded at 8:29 of the third period,
pacing #5 UW-River Falls to a 2-1 victory over visiting UW-Stevens
Point on Saturday night. It was Brossman's 6th goal of the
year and it kept the Falcons remain unbeaten in the still-young
2010-11 season. UW-River Falls moved to 6-0-2 on the
year.
UW-Stevens Point goaltender Brandon Jeager played his second
spectacular game in as many nights, turning away 43 of 45 UWRF
shots.
Scott Lewan of UWRF wasn't too bad himself, stopping 30 of 31 and
earning his 6thh victory of the year.
UW-Stevens Point took a first period lead when Kevin Gibson scored
at 18:09. Josh Calleja evened the score at 3:27 of the second
on a power play.
