SAINT PAUL – St. Norbert goaltender David Jacobson () has
been named Player of the Week in the NCHA Men’s Conference
after stopping all 46 shots he faced last week. Jacobson
racked up three victories while holding opponents scoreless for 180
minutes.
St. Norbert raised its third NCAA Championship banner on October
23rd, with Jacobson posting a shutout in a 4-0 win. He made
17 saves and turned back four Falcons power play opportunities.
In a weekend home-and-home series with UW-Stevens Point, Jacobson
continued his streak of perfection, notching 18 and 11 saves in the
two-game sweep. He turned back six Pointer power play
chances.
Jacobson is one of four goalies nationally with a 0.00 goals
against average; no other goalie has more than a 60 minute shutout
streak. His three shutouts rank first in the nation.
