The Green Knights got the jump early, taking a 2-0 lead in the first period. Luke Karakas' shot from the left slot beat Augsburg netminder Nick Schmit off a pad and through the five-hole for a marker at 6:25. The Auggies would come storming back, capitalizing on a defensive miscue for a goal by Chandler Madry at 3:11. Augsburg's Luke Dietsch would bring his squad within one goal when he finished a rebound chance at 8:44. The Auggies had a pair of golden opportunities later in the period to pull even, but St. Norbert goaltender T.J. Black turned away a pair of breakaway chances to send the Green Knights into intermission with a 3-2 lead.
The Green Knights finally gained some breathing room back midway through the third period, when Timmy Nicksic was credited with a goal at the 11:04 mark. Keegan Milligan's empty-net goal with 1:15 remaining closed out the scoring.
Dominick Sacco finished with three assists, while Alfred Johansson added two assists. Nicksic also had an assist for a two-point game.
