Tuesday: #7 UW-River Falls, #6 Gustavus tie

In a matchup of regional rivals and national powers, UW-River Falls and Gustavus skated to a 1-1 overtime tie Tuesday night in St. Peter, Minnesota. The Falcons moved to 8-1-1 overall.

#7 UW-River Falls took a 1-0 lead late in the second on a Kait Mason wrister from the top of the circle. The pass came from Emma Nordness.

#6 Gustavus tied the game early in the third on a goal by Melissa Doyle.

Both goaltenders played very well in the much-anticipated matchup. UW-River Falls' Ashley Kuechle made 35 saves; Gustavus Danielle Justice made 22.

UW-River Falls returns to action this weekend with a home series against St. Norbert.
